THE NATIONAL ADVOCATE FOR HUNTING - "WE ARE UNITED HUNTERS"
This fund was created to support the education of the general Canadian public whose opinion and awareness of hunting we aim to positively shape and impact, and to defend our legal right to hunt.
We ask all Hunters, Anglers, Trappers and others who support legal managed hunting as a conservation tool to donate. The fund, like the Government of Canada supports legal and sustainable trade in wildlife. Trophy hunting and trapping, carried out sustainably and legally is an effective and important conservation tool as part of a well-managed and regulated conservation program.
Hunters actively fund conservation programs that acquire land to be set aside exclusively for wildlife habitat.
Nature-based tourism, including hunting, is worth roughly $1.5 billion and provides about 26,000 jobs, according to a report by the Wilderness Tourism Association of B.C. released earlier this year.
Resident and non-resident hunting combined generates about $350 million in economic activity a year in B.C., according to the provincial government.
Trophy hunting related tourism saw $426,000,000 infused into the East and South African economy
Canadian hunters spent about $1.2 billion a year on hunting trips, and paid $70 million for hunting licenses.
Hunter-supported organizations such as Ducks Unlimited Canada and the B.C. Wildlife Federation use member contributions and government funding to pursue conservation projects all over B.C.
